how tasty, the star of misfits with his gorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgeous Irish accent has now hit the big screen
think hes gonna be a lost member of the cast throughout the next series so he can go on to bigger and better things... although i dont know how it can get muh better than misfits!???
Aslong as the beautiful lad stays on our screens i dont quite mind what he does ....

my rings bring all the bling to the yard...
so these are my grotty hands, and these are my current rings...
all real gold or silver and most of them found or free :)
my new favourite was actually purchased at under £10 being the red with the pearl shell... i'd say it caught my eye as it reminded me of the beautiful YSL one sept with a celtic twist

I may be Britsh but God bless America...
Topshop have hit the spot in these classic short and jean combos, with the shorts selling out everytime.
Think the shorts on the beach (L)
The shoes in my opinion would look incredible with wear, the more worn the better.
And just to prove how timeless this is, the icons who are Gaga and Beyoce themselves demonstrate just how amazing the fashionable flag can be.

todays focus
on the wonderfully wonderful Chloe Sevigny who gets overthrown to real fashion by the makes of Cheryl Cole etc. She builds a realistic image for everyone rather than those eccentric, definately not ideal and pricey looks we are fed by the media...
big respect to Chloe and her mix of grunge, british independance and feminine couture.

soo haven't posted in a while
as I've been superdoopa busy due to university and exams!
However I have managed to find time to enter myslef into a university based competition in which results to something to do with ASOS.... so basically I couldn't quite say no.
It involved making rings for a student run company called "Tringkets" !
My rings are on there facebook page and a simple "like" counts as a vote. I ended up going all out and all the rings WITHOUT safety pins on them are mine
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=29195&id=119528428107380&ref=mf
Have a look, maybe even a cheeky vote
Thank you , Emma xoxox

Look of today, Emma...
This is yesterday outfit which ive failed to post! My beautiful Vintage Levis top from the charity shop, mere £1.75, high waist black h&m jeans (sale), creeperszzzzzzz and vinatghe Calvin Klein jacket, ebay bargain!. Agin my root infested peachy hair!
So my first post of the blog, Kayte...
So ive decided to become a team on the blog with Emma due to the fact ive taken up a horrific nursing course at The University of Manchester! I feel as though sadly im loosing touch with Fashion, one of my great loves!
Heres a quick update of what ive been buying and loving and wearing and etc etc!
Heres my new Aqua dress! Backless is a huge comeback for 2011 so i thought why not, it was in the sale from £200 to £50, no excuse if you ask me ! Angular and architectural edges perfect for statement, definate buy of the week !
I then got treated to a £100 american apparel voucher by my boyfirnd at christmas and managed to blow it on this beauty of a shirt, checked and chiffon, not to mention black... mmmmmmmExcuse the picture, its the only one sadly from the messy night, my beautiful friends Louie is leaving to Afganistan:( !
Look of today, Emma...
So back home from uni for a night a two with absolutely nothing in my wardrobes, managed to get up and out to asda for some chocolate to power my revsion... banged on this and i dont plan on changing again today....
Mostly second hand/ charity shop finds as its most of my clothing, i tend to look at catwalks and trends then hunt in the chazza shops for cheap cintage interpretations....
So heres my lovely twin, Kaytes, precious vintage Hobbs, high waist blue jeans ( im curvy witha big booty so they work everyday :) ), second hand FAUX fur coat, charity shop second hand miss selfridge shirt and Chanel headband to top it off! ( love my Chanel bits and bobs)
My hairs currently a peachy ladygaga badromance colour!

And secondly...
This one was the classical genius Lucian Freuds etching and portrait painting style versus a more contemapry artist group.
Matthew Carr was one, the very skilled individual with fantastic taste...
And the wonderful, Louis LE Brocquy.
The combination of the three worked brilliantly,( not the pictures so much, very poor qulaity) as mass detailed managed to still be withstained even in a huge Brocquy blur bubble. I found to create his angular faces he'd screw paper up and then copy this, created randum folds and deformities.
Horrendous quality images and perfect example of how messy I truly am !

Artist focus...
So took some time to dig up some old projects i was working on more in the art direction rather than textiles. Found these amazing artists i couldnt quite forget and my work inspired by them.
Firstly, the amazing Dominic McGill, graphic artist most definately all about the messages beind loud and clear on illicit scales. LOVE him.
His work is truly amazing and the way in which he adds colour and image is stunning. The message some may see as obvious and indecent but I think the business and violence of some of the pieces really makes them unique.

And mine.... so i regrettably now, made the choice of usin current afairs, threfore at the time being the political battles etc, rather obvious. the inspiration however is clearly stated...

Essential pour le 2011
A guide to the little things we need, all this year, pretty much asll of the last and most definately all of the futures to come...
The little black converse, tattered and torn plain essentials, neccesary to calm down that hyper look or to jazz up that plain one

Youre choice for the stud, but it leads me to my next point.
Must have purchase for your DIY inner, studs. Not just the plain old im punkwithstuds, im talkin lady gaga turn ragged priest cone studs and the bigger, truly is the better.
Put them on your jackets, denim leather tees, hats headbands rings everywhere, thye MUST BE EVERYWHERE. Another tip, for the ab hand with the crafts or handy sewing machine... charity shop leather trouser= revolting flare. Chop the bottom off add a beautifully sewn fold, BAM.
Save your money ! add the studs for extra expense, so worth the effort, sooo worth the time.
Dreaming of these shoes, gentler touch on the creepers that wont make the queezy boys feel intimidated by the whopping platform and arrogant punk.
£75.00, im taking the risk of waiting for the sale price to hit these babies, my creepers are just too chunky, come too far from my foot, uncomfortable... unhandable.

My Cha NAY NAY'S
Tragically, honestly, TRAGICALLY my darling Chanel earrings have broken. Not only were they questionably authetic due to the fact they were a mere £5 from someones car boot, but they completed every outfit.
Easy, typical day boring clothes.... Chanels.
My misson is to immediately fix my babies or maybe invest in a pair at a more realistic price.
...Not the most sensible of photos, rather one that highlights the earring in all its glory!
Just shows if your splash out on one small treasure, its value is priceless to everyday!

S'alllllll about the bling
I recently scored an amazing job with a widely used accessories company which I am eternally grateful for. I get to scour in all our favourite high street stores and see every accessory before it goes out! Topshop, Selfridges, Freedom etcetcetctecttcc..... I see it all. <3
So I'll be constantly posting what I personally believe are the most popular trends and fastest grabbed pieces you must have, where to get them and whose wearing them!
2011 IS all about how much you can wear and how you can wear it !

RUDE BOY
Personally I think it portrays what was a fantastic older Vivienne Westwood collection from the 2009 to early 2010 collections... definately a stick around trend! Check out Givenchy last 2010 collection and get your own ready to wear versioons at ASOS green rooms...

Eventually...
I have sadly totally and utterly lost my old blog amongst the world of the internet and a hectic lifestyle. So here is the beginning of what I hope to be slightly more precious to me !
I will begin to post my life and the antics in our present 21st century whirlwind.
Fashion, Art, Hair, Beauty, Food, Life, Design, Culture, English and everything else.
Currently a student of Textiles Design in the wonderful city Manchester which I have recently moved to!
Id recommend the city to anyone and everyone ( that is if you like student infested towns and Northern accents).
Love you to follow
Emma, Thisisit xo
